Insurance Dance – Part Two
Sadly, it has been almost two months now since the burglary and still playing the dancing game with the loss adjustors.
Having provided them with the copious amounts of information they asked for well over a month ago, and jumped through all the hoops thrown at me, turns out after many follow-ups that my adjustor went on a long holiday. No communication, no bothering to finish his work, just drop it and run. Oh how nice it must be to drop everything and go on holiday, and who cares about the impact on real people – they are just numbers on a spreadsheet right? And people wonder why insurance companies are perceived as having no soul – because their actions prove they don’t care one iota.
So now someone else has picked up the ball, and is my new adjustor. She called today because I guess they were sick of me hounding them and realised I wouldn’t wait until my adjustor came back from his ‘long holiday’.
Despite having sent everything through, they now say I was asked for the wrong information by the previous adjustor, and here are some additional hoops to jump through. And then I have to explain how our business works all over again so the adjustor stops following their generic list of questions and actually gets their head around how Kako works.
I would continue writing this blog, but I just saw a very nice wall, and I am off to pound my head against it.
